  On the edge of Gerringong, quiet and relaxed, good size standard room. Restaurant is good but a little stuffy if you are traveling solo. I have stayed here a couple of times and it's a good price compared to the local competition.

  Got married here 2 years ago and it was the worst mistake of my life. Before booking i was given a chance to view how they can setup. I was told it was an actual decorator that comes in to set up and i asked for the exact same as what they had done and even took photos. I specifically asked if the exact same candles etc will be used. I purchased the silver package. On the day the decorations were very cheap. Candles were very uneven as they were so cheap and had to be propped up to stop them falling over. Chaircovers and sashes and tablerunners were also alot cheaper than the setup i had asked for and the quality was lacking everywhere. Staff were rude. The food wasnt what we were assured it would be. Left my guests out in the cold when i wad told theyd be let in at 6pm as thats what i paid for. I had to argue with them to let my guests in about 7pm. They lost my wedding cake and cut the reception short by 3 hours. They wouldnt accept responsibilty for ruining my wedding day, wouldnt offer me partial refund or anything it was like as soon as they had all our money they didnt care what level of service they provided us. I definatly didnt deserve for my wedding day to be like that and 2 years later i still regret ever booking with mercure gerringong. There are alot of other things that went wrong but id be writing a novel so please take my advice and save yourself the heartache and book with another venue thatll actually go above and beyond to make your day perfect.

  Excellent location from which to explore the South Coast. Large comfortable rooms which have recently been refreshed. Onsite restaurant is worth visting.

  Ordinary food (sent it back twice for a well over cooked lamb dish and ended up not eating) and tired rooms for Sydney prices. Down rated the next morning now that I have seen the rust in the shower, broken shower head, TV did not work and no one available at 8:30pm because reception closes early and not even a biscuit to go with the measly 2 sachets of coffee provided for a double room.
